Dowelltown (Jct US 70 & TN 96) Granville (Jct TN 96 & TN 53 TN 96 Matthew Huddleston Very twisty; nice, smooth, gravel-free surface, very scenic (if you take the time) along Center Hill Lake and by the Cumberland River near Granville. NOTE: you can add to your riding pleasure by taking TN 53 across the Cumberland river to TN 290--see below.
Jct. TN 53 & TN 290 Jct TN 290 & TN 56 TN 290 Matthew Huddleston More scenic twisties with good road surface and little gravel.

Erwin Mars Hill, NC US 23 J. Hoilman Start of a nice loop
Mars Hill, NC Erwin US 19 to US 19 west J. Hoilman Finish loop--extremely tight, twisting, narrow (be aware)!!! Also, watch for gravel in corners (a bigger problem in NC)
Rogersville Sneedville Hwy 66 J. Hoilman
Carthage Baxter US 70N Gary Pitts Total mileage is about 25. It gets off to a slow start, but when you reach Chestnut Mound, it really gets nice--about 15 miles of twisties on good pavement.
Smithville (west to Jct of US70N & Hwy 56) Jct Hwy 56 & I40 Hwy 56 (north) Gary Pitts Really nice with several medium speed back-to-back curves. Good pavement. Continuous twisties for about 10 mi. No tractors, cows, or gravel.
3-in-1 Map The best roads in the SE USA Too numerous to list Cycle-Paths The 3-in-1 Map is one and only map you will need to ride GA, NC, and TN sportbike roads. Harriman (Jct of US 27 & Hwy 328N) Jct Hwy 328 & US 27) Hwy 328N TJA At the start point, head north towards Oakdale. Short ride which follows a circuitous path over Walden ridge then rejoins the main highway. Bas part is around Oakdale. On humid days steep valley walls keep sections of road moist until late in day, particularly in spring and fall. Otherwise, road surface is good and free of gravel.
Jct. of US 27 and Hwy 62 West. Fentress County line, or Jonesville or Clarkrange (US 127) Hwy 62 TJA Good tight corners between start of 62 and Lancing, then mainly wide open sweepers until the end of ride. There are just enough tighter corners thrown in to keep you wide awake! Section between Fentress Co. line and Clarkrange is basically straight. Road has just been repaved up to the Fentress Co. line. Occasional gravel on corners. Watch out for the logging trucks after the Jct. with TN 329.
Greeneville Parrottsville US 321 Brian This road is only 17.5 miles to Parrottsville, but you can continue on for another 10 miles to Newport for more decent twisties. There is a straight stretch about 4 miles long on this road--have never seen a cop on this road during the week. Brian
Tellico plains  Robbinsville, NC "Cherohalo Skyway" Brian Hwy 143 to Hwy 165 a/k/a the "Cherohalo Skyway". Excellent condition; fast sweeping and predictable curves! 52 miles long from Tellico Plains, TN to Robbinsville, NC.
McMinnville Athens Hwy 30 Ron Brant Follow highway 30 all the way to Athens, especially scenic is the section from Spencer to Pikeville. be sure to stop at fall creek falls on the way.
Auburntown Auburntown TN 267, US 70-S, TN 53, TN 145 Ted Gamble Start at Auburntown at TN 96 and TN 267.  Head north on TN 267 to Watertown.  There are 10 miles of hold-your-breath twisties.  Then relax down the next 12 miles of Hwy 70 S though Liberty.  Once you turn south onto TN 53 just past Liberty, you have 15 miles of twisties that you can let it all loose on all the way to Woodbury.  Once you come to Woodbury, take TN 145 north for 9 miles of hills, turns, and beautiful scenery back into Auburntown.  Total: Just a little over 50 miles.
Winchester   See Notes Liss Sterling RACETRACK IN THE WILDERNESS: From Winchester, TN, U.S. Hwy 64W, then south on TN Hwy 16 toward the AL/TN line. This road winds through the Carter Wildlife Refuge on the TN side and the Skyline Wildlife Refuge on the AL side, where it turns into AL 79. After about 5 miles on 16, the road ascends to the top of a mountain and the fun begins. It's 11 miles long and 25 sweeping perfectly radiused curves with a several straights to try your wings on. Perfectly paved wide, flat two-lane, with extra-wide paved shoulders and wide margins of manicured grass up to the tree line on both sides. There are no roads intersecting it at all. Law Enforcement Note: I've seen and heard of the occasional police car driving through, but never parked and running radar there. A local source tells me that the troopers that are responsible for patrolling that area are bikers themselves, which may explain their absence, but I wouldn't take any chances, I'm pretty sure that it would be more a matter of jail time than mere tickets. Ouch. If you're so inclined to continue on to Huntsville, AL, go south on AL79, go west on AL146, south on AL65, west on US72 to Huntsville.
Cosby See notes Hwy 32 Scot Dail Hwy 32 to the TN list (East of Cosby, TN) - about 8 miles as twisty and as the Dragon, then 2 miles of a well graded gravel road into Walnut Bottoms, NC but it is well worth it! You can then pick up I-40 back, or make a nice long loop by heading east and doing Hwy 209 north, then 25/70 back to Newport, TN
Andersonville Jct TN 33 and TN 61 TN 61 YTK in WI Approximately 11 miles of good twisties with elevation changes. Good surface. Watch for gravel. Boat towing traffic on weekends.
Rogersville Sneedville TN70 Geoffrey Greene TN66 is already listed on your site from to Tennessee. In that same part of the State, there are several other nice roads. There's a reason why this is one of the least populated areas in the State...the terrain is both beautiful and brutal. Roads are VERY curvy with lots of elevation changes. In the upper East Tennessee area and running roughly parallel to TN66 is TN70. Traveling from Rogersville to Jonesville, VA (about 10-12 miles into VA), TN70 is a few miles northeast of TN66. TN70 goes over the same ridges that make TN66 such a delight. Total distance is about 33 miles.  Click here to view a nice "loop map" by Geoffrey!
US25E north on TN33 Kyles Ford TN 33 Geoffrey Greene From US25E north on TN33 through Sneedville and to Kyles Ford is another nice ride. This stretch covers 34 miles. There is a gravel road to the north just a short distance up TN33 from US25E where you can climb part of the way up an abandoned fire tower for a view that will knock your socks off.
Sneedville Tazewell TN63 Geoffrey Greene  A truly excellent ride is on TN63 traveling north from Sneedville to TN345 and from there southwest into Tazewell. The first 5 miles after leaving Sneedville has extreme switchbacks. The remainder of this 28 mile section is only slightly less demanding and is delightful with rolling terrain and curvy roads.
Petross Lake City TN 116 Greg Hatfield Hwy 116 is a very twisty road. Some riders in that area refer to it as the "Baby Dragon". It's not near as long, but pound for pound every bit as mean. This is a road that a lot of logging trucks use, so I would advise riding it during the evening hours. With that, the curves have been expanded to allow for the big trucks to make the curves, so that gives you a lot of room to have your own fun and ride the way that you so please.
Nashville (Old Charlotte Pike off of Hwy 70 just west of River Rd)   TN 70 William Henry Old Charlotte Pike off of Hwy 70 just west of River Rd. is freshly paved and quite blast, real twisty.
Carthage   TN 85, TN 262, TN 52 William Henry Hwy 85 out of Carthage thru Gladdice and Highland and old Hwy 85 past highland just after 262 joins 85, is as nice as the gap though not quite as long, after it ends at Cub Creek, you go back south to the 262/85 highway and continue 85 thru to Gainsboro , taking the the Alt 85 route after crossing over the lake, then follow 85 to Livingston , then take 52 up to Standing Stone State Park. Then take Hwy 52 back home to Sumner County, you can do this ride in one day, but it is a real trek in a day, two day trip is just right, you can stay in Livingston if you don't want to camp
